Photos taken from satellite platforms have to be transmitted back to earth. It takes a lot less bandwidth to transmit a high res B & W photo than a color image, so a lot of scientific imagery is done in B & W, especially when color isn't very important to the purpose of the photo.

I really can't believe that after you guys complained that there were no photos of the Apollo moon landing sites and I then linked you to these spectacular photos that are so detailed that they show the landers, the rovers, and even show individual trails left by the astronauts, that you then starting kvetching about the photos not being in color.

A simple "thank you" for showing you this cool link would've sufficed.

If the lunar landings were a hoax, then how could satellite telescopes today take pictures of the moon's surface that show the lunar landing sites and the lander module, rover, flag pole site, sample sites and footprints and rover tracks connecting it all on the surface of the moon?

Sigh. Haven't we talked about all this already onlookery? Can't you figure it out for yourself?

OK. Here's how it is. The last thing the Pentagon is going to do is release movies of the passenger plane hitting the pentagon. Those movies would be copied and incorporated into ISIS and al Qaeda propaganda videos faster then you can say ALLAH AKHBAR. The Pentagon isn't in the business of releasing videos of American soldiers being killed to provide material for Islamist propaganda videos.

As I said before, I'm 95% certain the Apollo missions were real, however there are some serious omissions and a credibility gap, whereas people are not allowed to question the official narrative. Whenever they ban a book, or a movie, or say 'You can't think that', then it's time to read the book, watch the film or take a deeper look into what someone else doesn't want you to see.

That we are ridiculed even for looking at, or discussing the claims people have made about the Apollo landing being faked is a warning sign. Science progresses through falsification. Whenever a scientist makes a bold claim, people immediately try to prove it wrong; this is the scientific method. Let's look at each claim one by one, if we can't prove them wrong, then they are right and fact is established.

Some of the moon landing claims are ridiculous, aliens were involved, you can walk around on the moon without a spacesuit (Bill Cooper actually publicly made this claim), and so forth.

I'm with seagypsy here though that at least the first Apollo 11 event was staged, a fake psyops event to beat the Soviets to the moon. That the science advanced and we went their later, doesn't disprove that there is some dishonesty involved here. I'd rather know the truth, no matter how painful it is.

I believe certain conspiracy theories are plausible and likely true, but others are less plausible and unlikely to be true. Nothing wrong with being a conspiracy theorist, as long as the theories you believe in are backed by good evidence.
History repeats itself. Just everytime with different characters and players.

Would you care to give some examples of conspiracies you believe and some you don't believe.
For instance I believe it is more then likely that the Kennedy's murdered Marilin Monroe because she was about to become an embarrassment to them. On the other hand I don't believe any of the 911 conspiracy theories involving "planned explosions" .

The 120-page, “Law Enforcement Sensitive” guide to “Investigating Terrorism and Criminal Extremism – Terms and Concepts” describes itself as “a glossary designed primarily as a tool for criminal justice professionals to enhance their understanding of words relating to extremist terminology, phrases, activities, symbols, organizations, and selected names that they may encounter while conducting criminal investigations or prosecutions of members of extremist organizations.”

This diminishes the credibility of any person attempting to rationally discuss such groups and fosters a perception that any discussion of such groups could be associated with a supposedly “extremist” ideology.

Is there a difference? The current administration is doing exactly the same thing. In fact, the Obama administration commissioned what seems to be an almost identical report characterizing survivalists as potential terrorist threats:

in a report prepared for U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) is asking the Federal Government to create a new inter-agency task force which will be dedicated to tracking and taking down conspiracy theorists, survivalists, etc…..
The Government Supported Attack Group, who is actively creating lists and conducting surveillance on Americans, says the following people need to be tracked by the Federal Government.
Those who talk about, or believe in Conspiracy Theories.
….
Those who call themselves Survivalist
….
The report was written by J. Richard Cohen, President of the SPLC and a member of the Department of Homeland Security’s Countering Violent Extremism Working Group.
