I missed the US$60 pb celebrations here on Peak Oil

Unread postby lorenzo » Wed 29 Jun 2005, 16:46:31

Right when oil hit US$60, my PC broke down. How frustrating. I wanted to be present on the forum when we crossed that magic line.

So how was it? Did I miss any good posts? Tell me everything.

Anyway, my new PC will surely last till we reach US$ 105. Plenty of celebrations to come!

 Well, its down under now so it will have to go back over again! Have cheer! The 70 mark is the biggie now. If the trend lines hold up it should happen in July. Then you can laugh and skip and drink lots of Belgian Beer. But I thought you were in Hell? What's it matter to denizens of the netherworld?

His computer melted in the Belgian heat wave. Maybe he got a new heat-tolerant computer.

Well Belgian Beer saved us! Things have cooled down now. (But that doesn't stop the beer from flowing :-D ).

I'm more worried about Barbara, though. She's from Italy. And Italy is on the grill now.

We'll get them at US$ 70, no doubt. :-D

Barbara, I hope you're still in Sweden. Poor you if you have to return to Italy. By the way, do they sell Stella Artois in your country?

Glad to hear it, enjoy that rich beer with so much character. So Barbara is burning up? Barbara, are you OK? Crispy Italians on the grill, get out the basting sauce.

Looking at the graph of oil prices in Wikipedia, and taking into account the study of whale oil that said that prices will follow an exponential curve in the short term, I reckon we'll be hitting $120 next year about these dates.
