I've never been interested in consoles since I was a kid, a very long time ago

.
Got hooked on PCs first time I saw that Tandy 1000 SL in the radio shack window. That was just about the coolest thing on God's green earth. My first PC games: Sid Meyers Railroad Tycoon, and Colonization.
I do still play games some times, but for many years now I'm only interested in strategy / perhaps a building game / business simulations.
An old favorite indie game: "Capitalism."
More recent addictions: Crusader Kings 2, where you take the lead of any dynasty in Europe in a 400 year ish game span. (if you like civilization, then you'd like that once you learn it -- Paradox games are the most in depth complex games there are.)
Oh, holy cow, kerbal space program. I got so wrapped up into that. Rockets. Spaceplanes. Probes. So many mods for it.. a whole solar system to mess around in.. build space stations, whatever, and you get to design it all and build it all. Real life JPL guys play that game, to get their juices flowing for ideas on mars landers.
I like indie games now and then, that you'll see on Steam.. got hooked on "Prison Architect" for a while.
I've also done "second life" off and on. Virtual world where the users create everything in it. I'm doing a flight simulator in that right now, with these gorgeous Embraer planes an airlines pilot in Brazil made, exact replicas with working switches. I got into making mesh objects at one point, used to sell some things.. I like making custom virtual plane textures in photoshop. (now THAT is a blast, something like photoshop is a game unto itself.. but I've stopped that.. that one is a massive timesink, I'm on the computer too much as it is)
