$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Tyler_JC', 'T')he Kennedy's are rich today because some guy 70 years ago ran a very successful business that allowed his children and grandchildren to live in luxury.

Agreed. That business was selling bootleg liquor during prohibition.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Tyler_JC', 'I') wouldn't call that a "lazy parasitic lifestyle".

:roll:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Tyler_JC', 'D')o you like cookies? My personal favorite are the Toll House chocolate chips ones.

Ummm...have to vote for home made chocolate chip personally, but yes I like cookies. :)

I never said the Kennedy business was a legal one :-D !

I just said it was a successful one.

Actually, I oppose prohibition of anything (alcohol, marijuana, pornography...) so in my world, selling bootleg liquor is a heroic action.

And we did get a halfway decent president out of it. As well as a nice pork barrel slush fund for Massachusetts under the reign of Senator Komrade Kennedy. I don't like his philosophy, but I don't mind the economic perks for my state :oops: .

I agree with you about prohibitions. I think, however, that organized crime bosses, tend not to be the most savory characters. Just because I think pot should be legal, that doesn't mean I want to hang out with Manuel Noriega (or George Tenet). :)

I feel obligated to offer up the hunter-gatherer POV.

Property means very little to a nomad who must carry everything she owns with her when the tribe moves to greener pastures.

Life, liberty and sharing nicely with others sounds good to me. :)
