You mean passive aggression.
Woman and passive aggression go together like cheese and wine.

Female serial killers prefer poison as a means opposed to violence. It has been speculated that since poisoning is often not easy to detect, that there may be more women serial killers than previously thought. Given my experience on how good women are at lying, I wouldn't be surprised if at least a couple of the women in my life is a serial killer.

Women who express anger may have more heart problems, but women who don't express their anger may have more strokes. Which would you prefer?

As a man I cannot decide...
1. Anger expressing woman & heart problems:
Good, the bitch will die of heart attack.
2. Timid woman & stroke:
Well, I would still love her, and therefore I would have to care for her, even if now she is a plant only...

However if it is not my woman, I don't care...

So they shouldn't express anger, what a stupid line of thinking.

It's like how they blame video games for causing aggression in kids, anybody ever think they're just predisposed in the first place to be aggressive and they found an outlet in video games!

It's almost always addressing the symtoms in this retarded society and never getting to the real root causes of things...and then addressing them.

Right on, mmasters!

I'd venture to say our society has a problem expressing emotions in general. Where anger is concerned, I'd much rather have someone directly express the reason for their anger with me than act out or give me the cold shoulder treatment.

Imagine how many physical (and psychological) ailments we could either eliminate or greatly reduce just by being more honest with our emotions!

Ok... some pretty squishy posts so far.

Come on... Except for your dad & your brother & possibly your boss, how many angry people you encounter are male?

And how many female?

Or maybe it's more fair to ask:

If you added up all the time you have spent with somebody pissed-off at you, how many minutes with males & how many with females?

Are you suggesting, Aaron, that women are more likely to get angry, throw plates, smash TV sets, brandish kitchen knives, get red and scream, cuss and shout, utter curses and snide remarks than men are? is that what you are saying?

I'd be curious to how gay males in a relationship would answer this.

But, as not a gay male I suppose I would have to say that females win in terms of absolute length of time being pissed off at me, but its almost always someone I had been in a relationship with (and the vast majority of that time was my ex-wife) so its hard to say if its the nature of the relationship or the sex of the person.

In college, with same-sex roommates, I observed a lot of male-on-male pissed-off ness. Rather than violence (which could escalate out of control rather quickly), it usually manifest itself as practical jokes (sometimes involving fire) and girlfriend poaching.

Expressions of anger by men is still more socially acceptable than expressions of anger by women. An angry woman is a "bitch." (see above)

Women are still prefered to be quiet (or dead).

- an angry woman, no yet dead

I don't know if I agree with this. The cliche is almost always that the wife is angry at the hubby for some reason. Its been this way in the popular media (TV) for a while. Usually the poor dumb guy doesn't even realize or know why the wife is mad at him. But maybe there are still social taboos on how that anger is expressed. Woman aren't supposed to cuss and deliver obscene gestures for example. But men have taboos too, like stomping your feet or giving someone the silent treatment is reserved for woman.

Besides, I don't think of angry when I think of a bitchy woman. Complaining, and being controlling and bossy are what I think of as a bitch. I think many men and woman for that matter confuse when a woman is confident, competent and ambitious for being bossy.

I don't know, I guess I don't watch that much TV.

If someone says a woman is a bitch for being angry (see above) then, clearly, expressing anger is seen as being a bitch. But, what do I know. :)

At least as much as me, I'm sure.

Which is better, the woman who gets mad or the one who gets even?
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Alfred Tennyson', 'W')e are not now that strength which in old days

What's best is a woman who is cheerful all the time and I am so blessed to be married to such a woman! My first wife was certainly capable of getting angry.
