True, darker more nefarious forms or rule will begin to emerge.

They have always been there in places some well known and some forgotten, waiting for the chace to overtake the light once again.

People are only fooling themselves if they believe social malfunction and discontent won't affect BAU in both government and economics. You have to either think nothing will happen at all, or ignore the fact that depletion and environmental degradation will somehow magically leave us still all singing kum ba yah together while pounding rocks.
The things that will destroy America are prosperity-at-any-price, peace-at-any-price, safety-first instead of duty-first, the love of soft living, and the get-rich-quick theory of life.

As an adult (and I presume you are an adult) you are like a child who when told you are living beyond your means and that it must all turn to custard unless you change, throw a temper tantrum. And you are in the majority for the moment.

My growing weary of your circular talking points arguments left over from your days in poli-sci class can hardly be described as a tantrum.
If you had a valid argument to make or would move on from a point won or lost to reach a conclusion based on the discussion at hand it would be interesting. However you insist on reiterating points as fact just a few lines after they have been soundly refuted and repeating tired false arguments adnauseam.

Infinite growth (capitalism where in the real world, capitalists invests for growing annual profits unlike your convoluted notion.) on a planet with finite resources is invalid? How so?

In other words, I am cautioning you that you are living beyond your means and this is invalid!!

Temper tantrums, anyone. Anyways, like I said, eat to excess and crap your way to oblivion for all I care. My posts aren't directed at intellectual donkeys.

Of course infinite growth is possible due to the limitless imagination in the human mind. Never underestimate the inventors!

Aaahh!! So when the finite runs out, we will invent something out of nothing!!

Finally, we nail down the problems we face. Something out of nothing!!

The PC and iPhone are examples of "something out of nothing". Pure imagination made these possible. Don't underestimate the ingenuity of the human spirit in challenging times! We will get through this comrade!

Do you even know what I am saying and how ridiculous your response is? The problem here is that we have a deluded person rebutting a reasonable and widely held presumption, one incidentally that is rigorously pushed by the libertarian right when it comes to cutting tax based entitlements of workers. Yet when it comes to prolonging the accumulative capacity of capitalists, it would seem that something can be obtained from nothing.

I am sick with trying to persuade the suicidally insane. I really need to get on with my life and leave you to your madness. On hopes that majority reason will prevail in due course.

If there is a rational non contradictory thought here I fail to see it. But it is an excellent example of the BS I have grown weary of.

Something from nothing calling finite limits to infinite growth, irrational!!

Remarkable!! I am lost for words. You dwell in the realms of the lunatic. The company of sheep would be a preferable option to you.

edit: in fact I insult the medically insane by associating you with them. You are stupid, just plain old stupid. No doubt a load of the liberal fence sitters will rush to your defence (to be freely stupid), but that does not detract from your overall stupidity.

These bastards are putting untold future generations at risk with their magical thinking and that pisses me off big time.

I have been dithering with leaving these forums for ages but I consider it a service to the commons to help keep Marx's ideas in the loop. However, I am frankly wasting my time with most on here. I prefer the certainty of revolutionary socialist communities. We know the problems and stick to the core issues.

I find these wishy washy flunky liberals with their hand maidens, the lunatic something for nothign right, are driving me to distraction with their dithering.

Well what do you think.

You think a planet with finite resources can grow the wealth of a minority of very rich capitalists for ever without running out (or be replaced with commodities plucked out of the fresh air when they do...you seem to alternately juggle these two ideas in your noggin which is some feat) and/or destroying its delicate lifesupport systems whereas I don't. If the former is not stupid then I don't know what is.

I believe you have been deliberately stupified by the minority but still, it is sad that stupids abound.
