When I say contains I mean recoverable reserves. Why deny the reality. What is the point of the alarmists?

What is happening in North Dakota and around the world seems to be beyond most if you.

One thing you should know, wells in North Dakota are very profitable and it's going to take 30 yrs to drill it out if peak politics can be kept under control and the formation itself doesn't continue to exand geographically.

I don't know whether to laugh - - when I read some of this or simply shake my head in wonder at our school system and how desperately this country needs a voucher system to allow competition to big gov/big union schools.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('AdTheNad', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('AirlinePilot', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Econ101', ' ') As for The Bakken, it contains so much oil deniers cant believe it.

It doesnt matter how much oil it contains.

I wonder when folks are going to understand this very important point. This always seems to blind people to the reality of the situation.

Econ101 will never understand that particular point. He has been very clear on the matter.

I think the point is being made that peak oil is part of a political strategy, not a real shortage.

 got all the bases covered do you? When peak oil is discovered to be a political myth the backup political myth of global warming will be used? That would appear to be the tactic anyway.
