')2). I use the alternative whenever feasible, thank you very much. (Outfits I must deal with like the IRS, courts, government offices, utilities, and most businesses continue to use them -- so it's not like I have a lot of choice). Since you're suggesting alternatives -- how does that work exactly in your world?
3). I pay PLENTY of taxes, thank you very much, as the way I live I get almost no deductions. One of the main deductions I get is for charitable contributions. For all your left wing self righteousness, I give more to well-run charities and truly needy (say via medical disasters until SSI kicks in, which can take many moons) people than I spend on myself. Do you? If not, maybe YOU should refrain from idiotic suggestions/assumptions like whether I should be allowed to use roads.
These two points are very interesting in my line of work and almost entirley the reason I think the whole right/left thing is so hilarious.
I would like to share my own experience with you and this unimaginable paradox.
A man named Joe Coors(R) who I voted for in my part of the country this last election, was running for congress against Ed Perlmutter. Ed ended up winning but before the actual election results I wanted Joe Coors to win because Coors is a local family and big company in the area that has a local feel.
I have a lot of non-profit, charity type companies I consult for. They are doing extremely well in the current economy. Many of the employees working at these non-profits have Masters Degrees and if they don't, they're working on getting one! It's part of the perks of working for a non-profit. There are actually A LOT of PERKS!!! I think it must be like a jackpot to work with a non-profit/charity/government institution.
I have to admit I'm a bit jealous of their beni's, hours of operation, and ThE wAy TheY MaKE money?...?...?
I think it's great that disabled people can learn to do things and rich people donate money to the cause.
What's strange is also consult for a lot of small businesses who are struggling. They can't get the same prices for vital business operations because they have to pay full price while the libjobs get markdowns for the same thing nearly %90.
I don't complain though, the non-profits pay their bills. Not sure what they produce, but they pay their bills!
Sorry for the rant... Anyway, a lot of these non-profits happen to get a lot of their money from major donors like Joe Coors(R) and that is why people love him. What is strange is that he's donating all these great donations to liberals who produce nothing.
