UFC = Ultimate Fighting Championship Anybody else here a fan? Anybody watch the first season, The Ultimate Fighter on Spike TV this year and can’t wait for the second season? Matt Hughes & Rich Franklin will be the coaches this time around.

The stone age did not end because stones became too expensive but the oil age will.

Oil and stones shouldn't really be compared.

The oil age will end because stones became too expensive?!? :?

:-D

Then again, I have heard that the Stones are charging $600 or more for tickets to their upcoming show and that is DAMNNED expensive just to see a bunch of old fossils. So maybe Stones will end the age of fossil fuel.

H*LL YAAA !!!!

I’ve followed the UFC since ‘93

Gracie, Tank Abbot, Shamrock, Severn, Pardoel, Frye, Coleman, Ortiz … etc

It’s hard to beat the early years (UFC 1 thru 5). I fooled around with mixed martial arts off and on in my younger days. I was mostly into boxing and wrestling though.

I kinda lost touch recently - since I now have a toddler and a new born. I caught a few episodes on Spike - not too impressed (please keep the sh*t hardcore)

WHAT? 8O How could a fan not watch the show? I thought the show was great and the finally between Forrest Griffin & Stephan Bonner was one of the greatest fights in history. Dana White was so impressed he gave both of them contracts!

Speaking of Forest Griffin, did you catch the Pay-Per-View last weekend? Forrest fought Bill “The Butcher” Mahood (who has knocked out every man he has ever beaten) and won with a rear naked choke! Also, Nate Quarry (who never fought on the show because of an ankle injury) took on Shonie “Mr. International” Carter and kicked his ass by winning with a TKO!

Great night for sure as Rich Franklin also became UFC Middleweight Champion when he pummeled Evan Tanner. The winner of that fight also determined which one of them will be a coach on the second season of The Ultimate Fighter

BTW: I already have tickets for the August 20th fight in Vegas, you gonna be there? Chuck Liddell is fighting Jeremy Horn & Randy Couture is fighting Mike Van Asrdale which should be spectacular and there will be six other fights that have not been announced yet. I’m looking forward to it.

I've been watching it ever since UFC 40. I love it. I wish it was more popular. I would watch it on TV every day.

No I won't be there for that one. I did attend UFC 33 in Vegas back in Sept of 2001. Liddell and Ortiz were on the card. It was a mediocre card with long lags in between bouts. Also ... The Hawaiian Tropic girls were in town for some international compitition. Nothing like watching a bunch of guys beat the h*ll outta each other and afterwards seeing a gaggle of hot chicks parading around. Wifey Poo was pretty cool about the whole thing ... she even was pointing out the 'really' hot chicks in case I missed them. :-D
