Does anyone have a torrent available for this? I want to watch it, but it is probably already over.

It's on today at 8pm & 10pm Pacific, and it looks like they're re-running it tomorrow and on June 11th& 12th. On the 12th it's on at 5:30pm Pacific.

Not enough rioting.
Too much "Save the day-ism" from Russia and Saudi

As i understand it. I only watched a small portion of it.

I just finished watching it, it sucked. No mention of hubbert's peak. Russia saves the day with their "abundance of oi."

Oh, so it WAS science fiction, then!

Didn't see it--don't have cable or TiVo or any of that stuff--but that Hollywood would muck it up is hardly an "alert the media" scoop!

Can't even say, "Well, at least people will get the message that when there's no oil, the US is f***ed." That's EXACTLY the propaganda the government, media, and corporate world will use on us to justify all the resource wars (present and future)!

It may be too late for a realistic tale of what The End of Oil and Gas means to "modern" society. But I'd sure like to see someone give it a go....

Yeah, the ending was propaganda. But most of the movie was better than I expected.

I was very disappointed in the ending myself. There were a lot of good parts that showed what potentially could happen with a sudden significant supply disruption. But it seemed to me that the guys who wrote the story just ran out of ideas so they had to "save the day" at the end. Utter garbage and pure propaganda at the end. With the scenario they were showing - how bad things had gotten in only one year's time - there's no way the economy could have recovered, even based on their own story.

I do think, though, that much of the responses they were showing from people is the kind of thing we'll see if/when such a scenario plays out. It made me glad I'm not in the city, that much is sure.
