I trolled through about an hour of this stuff before I came to the fake conclusion, even though some are so obvious it's a joke. There was reference to jet engine reverse thrust cleanout processes and copies of the old alien movie sound tracks. But the main good ones all reminded me of techno parties in the forest. My bet is a planking style attempt at viral hoaxing. Funny though I think the promulgators are also putting out 'explainations' about shift in earth magnetism and speed of rotation, alien inspired stuff, which equally reminds me of the DMT inspired Eccy munching techno party crowd.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('dorlomin', '
')No doubt in a week or two some audiophile will have worked out which movie the sound effect are ripped from.

Shutter Island, the beginning scene.

I suffer from insomnia. I watched Cid's 15 minute video from the orignal post. I was out like a light before the end of it.

Thanks for the nap Cid, it was wonderful!

Never eat chili and pickles at the same time!
The things that will destroy America are prosperity-at-any-price, peace-at-any-price, safety-first instead of duty-first, the love of soft living, and the get-rich-quick theory of life.

I notice that these stories often mention sounds heard around dawn, which is when sound travels very very well. Early in the morning I hear enormous clangs probably coming from dumpsters being emptied more than half mile away.

And one morning I heard Bump!Bump!Bump! and the house shook. It sounded and felt like someone was kicking a hole in the wall. I grabbed a Cz-82 pistol and flung open the front door. As I opened the door, the sound stopped. There was frost on the grass, so as I walked around the house I could see nobody else had been in the yard.

The whole thing remained a mystery for a couple weeks until I saw the church about a block away was replacing their sidewalks, and they had a backhoe with a big jackhammer attachment smashing the pavement.

The point is that it had sounded so loud at our house because it was dawn and the air was cold, heavy, and still.

A lot of the videos out on youtube are hoaxes. But many are real.

The phenomenon can be seen In the screaming ghost tunnel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fekDc0JVs8 This video shows the sounds are coming from underground.

This seems to explain at least some of the sounds:

Whatever these unearthly noises are, they all sound similar, and are, so far, unexplained: http://youtu.be/zzqsVbFs5fc

A large rifle can also create strange sounds. The .300 Weatherby will create 3 echoes back and forth across a valley.

I think this is bigger than most of us think. If say fox news put out some of the sample recordings people would start to panic for real! Thousands of witnesses go along with each video..i think the way things are going there will be many more sounds more frequently to come everywhere. I do think its seismic... and that definitely does not give me any relief :( All over the world its breaking news!! And here in the usa? Nothing..silence. What does that mean? Things are starting to move..theres a shift happening. Some people will deny this feeling but most will agree..its meteorological and political. Take a walk with google sometime and do your research people before we no longer have sites like these to voice our opinion and share sometimes life changing information.

I think a lot of people are waiting for the desintegration of our civilisation because they suffer.
exponontial debt, surpopulation, pollution, peak oil, peak of ressources, love of money, decadence and greed.
I don't think (yet) those sounds are real, even if I'm one of the most extremist doomers out there, but we as a whole are waiting for a sign that the end is near.
So we tend to see doom in anything. Real or not.

It makes sense that the people who are most dissatisfied with this life are the ones who would welcome the end. But, to me it begs the question, if "end times" does not materialize during this century, wouldn't it be a shame not to have lived/thought about life differently?
