Very plausible, MD. (I was thrown off by your earlier reference to "shapes.") To me, more interesting than the phenomenon or its cause is the inability of many people to perceive it, despite careful coaching. They just can't see the spots, even though they've been looking at them all their lives. Which is the whole problem, I suppose.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Heineken', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('basil_hayden', 'T')his thread seems incredibly stupid to me

:-D

Yes, but CAN you see the little spots?

Stupid was the wrong choice of word, glad you didn't take it the wrong way.

Silly is the correct choice. Of course I can see the spots, late at night when there's no light pollution.

I'm with MD on the rods and cones idea, however don't your eyeballs point up when you close your eyes, into the top of the orbit? Maybe something's going on in there. Maybe it's the Matrix. I'm going to go listen to the Ink Spots.

If that's the only way you can see them, you can't see them. 8)

There's no voices in my head either and I'm thankful for both.

I see the spots, but they aren't usually crisp.... just fuzzy.

I just assumed everyone saw them and didn't really feel the need to discuss them. I assumed they were just noise.

We are the matrix. Aren't we fast becoming blobs of flesh attached to the very machines we've created to feed and entertain ourselves?

Yes it's a total thread derail, but I think we're about done with the spots anyway. Either you do or you don't, and that's it.
Stop filling dumpsters, as much as you possibly can, and everything will get better.

Just think it through.
It's not hard to do.

Yes, that was my original thesis, MD. Either you do or you don't. That's the part that interests me.
