When the US military influence is over tacken by China as it will eventually
I cant see the Chinese bending over backwards to support a country full of Eastern Europeans trying to occupy a piece of land based on a political interpretation of a book the Chinese have no respect for.
Even if they do survive the lack of US military backing in the future
I cant see where they are going to get their water from or how they will be able to cope with Arab birth rates or the inevitable change in the UNs agenda towards them and their illegal occupation and future compensation cases and war crimes tribunals.

You can't possibly be that naive. Jews able to practice their religion, while living under Sharia law? I don't know if anyone has ever clued you in, but the Palestinians aren't the least bit interested in living next door to the Jews. They want to exterminate them.

You obviously have turned a blind eye and a deaf ear to what Hamas and Hezbollah has said and done in the past about the Jews in Israel. I will hand-hold you through your research should you need help.

You're probably right, but I guess those that moved to settlements in the occupied areas should have thought about that issue beforehand. As an American though I couldn't give a shit what these people do to each other anymore so long as they don't expect our dollars or blood to subsidise the mess. America has problems more pressing than what ethnic group happens to dominate a small sliver of land in the middle east. I'm a little confused anyway isn't a whole country living off American tax dollars the very definition of the "mooch" Cog espouses such displeasure at?

Other than trying to maintain the status quo, or outlawing religion, there is no solution.

Hopefully when Israel gets nuked, they have enough nukes left to turn the Caliphate into a pile of rubble that won't trouble the West for another 1300 years.

Not a popular guy...
Report: Sarkozy calls Netanyahu 'liar'
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'M')icrophones accidently left on after G20 meeting pick up private conversation between US, French presidents. Sarkozy admits he 'can't stand' Israeli premier. Obama: You're fed up with him? I have to deal with him every day!
French President Nicolas Sarkozy reportedly told US President Barack Obama that he could not "stand" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and that he thinks the Israeli premier "is a liar."
According to a Monday report in the French website "Arret sur Images," after facing reporters for a G20 press conference on Thursday, the two presidents retired to a private room, to further discuss the matters of the day.
The conversation apparently began with President Obama criticizing Sarkozy for not having warned him that France would be voting in favor of the Palestinian membership bid in UNESCO despite Washington's strong objection to the move.
...
The surprising lack of coverage may be explained by a report alleging that journalists present at the event were requested to sign an agreement to keep mum on the embarrassing comments. A Reuters reporter was among the journalists present and can confirm the veracity of the comments.
A member of the media confirmed Monday that "there were discussions between journalists and they agreed not to publish the comments due to the sensitivity of the issue."

My position for a long time has been that if I was in charge of Israeli policy I would prefer to wait the Arabs out, until they run out of oil and the money to spend on war that comes with it. I think that previous Israeli governments thought likewise. I don't think, however, that those in charge over there agree with me anymore. They seem determined to poke a stick into the hornet's nest. I reckon they've made some severe miscalculations about what will happen should they do so. This will end with a nuke in a van somewhere in East Jerusalem if they aren't careful.

Honestly I don't know what they could be thinking the settlements no only anger just about every other country in the world, but they're no defensible. The more prudent strategy would have been to pull back in to Israel proper (with allowances made for defensible areas) and build a wall.

The Muslims aren't going to nuke their own mosques in Jerusalem. Which is why I think the whole "OMG Iran is going to get a nuke!!!!!!!!!" is much more a propaganda tool for the GOP than the Iranians.

Thats why the Iranians always threaten Tel Aviv---in fact they just made a new threat a couple of days ago.

Tel Aviv is the principal Jewish city in Israel.

Tel Aviv is the largest city in Israel. Note that it is a different city and is located in a different place than Jerusalem.

I'm outraged that many in America expect us to go to war for a country based primarily on their religious belief system.

Anyway, Christians, pray do tell me this one. Since Jews are going to burn in hell anyway, both for unrepentant sinning and not accepting Jesus Christ as their Savior, why do you fret so much when someone wants to nuke it ? Why is it such a big deal?

I always wondered that too, as a Sunday Catholic I'm of the understanding (no expert here by any means) that by the crucifixion of Jesus everyone could become gods people? No matter because it's not people like me expecting the government to go to war for my religious ideations.
