Well, I'll just say "whiter". Among Israel's Sephardi and Mizrachi jews, leftists are typically referred to as "Ashkenazi leftists", because even though Sephardi and Mizrachi jews make up around 40% of Israel's jewish population, they are mostly absent from left-wing groups such as Peace Now and B'Tselem. You won't find too many "non-white jews" championing their own destruction, just like you don't find many arabs championing theirs. Indeed, the most patriotic Israelis are those jews who come from middle eastern countries, Yigal Amir is a good example, he is Yemeni, and god help any Yemeni jew who decides to join Peace Now, he'll not have a family to come back to. I myself am 1/8 Sephardi, a fact I am very proud of.

Sorry to throw some reality in your face, but land changes hands, pretty much every nation in the world has been conquered at some point, and the people doing the conquering didn't need to justify it then, and I have an inkling suspicion that when the easy living oil-age ends, they won't need one then either. Unfortunately, many immigrants to Israel aren't even 25% jewish, you can now find tens of thousands of African refugees in Israel who snuck through the border with Egypt. They are of course, championed by Ashkenazi leftists. If Israel falls, it'll be for the same reason that the USA, France, Spain, Sweden, Norway and the rest of the West is falling. Right out of "The Camp of the Saints".

Surely the question should be 'How long before Israel abandons the US?'.

The US and western Europe is a slow motion train wreck, at least (the Jewish portion of) Israel has strong social cohesion.

i'm not sure the majority are Christian.

i would divide Israel supporters into a number of categories -

American-Jewish
Israeli-Jewish
American-Christian
American-non-religious
American-Business
American-Oil
American-military-family

i have a friend who manages 2 banks in Texas who is not Jewish, not Christian - not even a member of the oil industry.

but he supports Israel because he is ignorant about history and most of his social network supports Israel.

Cheney might be an example of the American-oil-industry-Zionist.


at this point, 5 million Americans have gone to Iraq & Afghanistan to kill local civilians in the name of Americans War on/of Terror. those 5 million Americans have at least another 20 million family members who also feel compelled to support Israel, because they are un-aware of Israel's long history of Terrorism and Israel's authorship of 9-11.

I think we will continue to support Israel for a long time, but I do sense in talking to people that support for actual monies to Israel is not as strong as it once was.

Don't know, don't care; Isreal will probably abandon the US once the steady flow of money and munitions stops--and, expect the same from other countries under the same circumstances.
