$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('prajeshbhat', 'F')ox news. Really. Aren't these the same people who said Barack Obama was not an American citizen.

Do you consider wikipedia a source? LOL

There are numerous other sources for the information that illegals are a drain on states. Google is your friend. But for those who love illegal aliens no source can convince them. Just like peak oil deniers.

Lower end property does not exceed homstead exemptions. In our county 70% are on free lunch.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Cog', 'I')f you want to invite those people into your home, knock yourself out. To invite untold millions of poor into this country is to invite chaos as they consume services that they do not pay for.

No thanks. I will elect those politicians who will enforce US law and not turn a blind eye to it. Perhaps things work differently in India.

The point is what YOU want is irrelevant. As it is, your reasoning is moulded in Sydney, Australia, by a man who owns interests all over the world and who taps into your primeval rage and senses of impotence and entitlement, to turn a fast buck, to name one element of your ideological paradigm. Were these interests tomorrow to achieve the optimal state cost cuts they seek and successfully channel the wealth of their host countries in their direction, whats the bet that the Tea Party (TP) would quickly fall from favour. The TP are essentially a gaggle of nostalgic mercantilists dancing to the tune of global capitalism whereas liberal capitalists are more amenable to the free movement of optimally costed labour, an essential pillar of optimally flowing capital. Consequently, they are more likely to assume the centre stage (having of course recanted their beliefs in Keynesianism, which they will most definitely.), once the mercantilists have helped whittle away the state, which they will, guaranteed. Your dreams for brutal cuts to the US are about to be realised, cog, but not quite the way you anticipate. And strangely enough, your ilk will make the most enhusiastic Marxists when the light finally turns on in your heads. So I sit back and bemusedly watch events unfold.

I think his point is that you have gone to an Australian billionaire for your American political education. Quite understandable in a globalised world I think. It's just I find it bizarre that American conservatives patriot types take their political cues from a business owned by an Australian billionaire who backed Tony Blair's Labour party in the UK, once upon a time, and had one of his British papers singing the virtues of the Labour party (not dissimilar to the Democrats) and its ways, back then. It's all very confusing to say the least. Sometimes I am not quite sure who is in bed with whom. You kinda get a sore head with all the switching going on :(

I'll posit that I'm not Cog, but we seem to be at least sorta on the same side of the aisle as far as US politics goes.

I'm having a hard time finding any portion of the federal government's budget that I would not be content to see a large meat axe taken to... Am I supposed to be horrified by slashing DoD? enlighten us.

Very cryptic; though hopeful. Hmmmm.

Quite hypocritically funny of me as I'm simultaneously advocating for slashing the budgets till nothing stands, and downloading gigabytes of climate data from a .gov repository.

I so bad. Choppy Choppy.

But if you do that, cut government big, then there goes the Texas "jobs miracle" -- it's gov jobs.

This is complicated, Agent. If you cut gov too much that's deflationary. It will hurt the private sector too. Deflation is a nasty spiral for everybody.

Well that's ironic.. you do realize that's what the far right, assuming they mean what they say, would cut first.. Rick Perry talks about "the tyranny of the EPA" or something like that. Rick Perry wants to set you FREE to trash the environment and poison the soil, air, and water.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('vision-master', 'G')ot your stores full and gun loaded - the deep South should be fun.

Those guys looting in your pic would be dead within 20 minutes... from heat exhaustion. This ain't London down here.

Besides, whats with the singular gun? Would be a pain in the butt to go through thousands of rounds of ammo with just one gun, no? That said, this will turn into a yet another zombie thread if we pursue it...

Yep. I know. And I'll cheer them all the way. As I said, I so bad.

But hey, they took thousands of tax dollars from me, and I have a thing about getting my money's worth.. .and then some.

This basically shows them to be morons. They whinge about taxes but dream of living in a feudal corporate utopia as serfs. How sad that Americans ignore their own history. Yes, let's all go back to the Gilded Age, it was so perfect.

They are coming. Be prepared to be impoverished and betrayed, to yourself have to wander, like the illegal immigrant, desolate and in search of whatever employment you can find, and finally, to feel the utter destitution of those you trusted, letting you down out of a greed for self-aggrandisement.

Your America will be anything but the place Fox promises.

Have no fear. The cuts are coming.

So you are now Nostradamus as well?

Rest easy my man, I've already considered what cuts on a massive scale mean for yours truly. Prior planning prevents piss poor performance. Bring on this new and improved America. I'll take my chances with it.

Not really. Capital naturally gravitates towards its maximisation. Its a zero sum game. Someone has to make the necessary cuts so that the markets may be sufficiently comforted. Unless you have sufficient passive wealth to live passively on its net earnings, you will suffer as a wage earner. Small businesses that are in core services and industries such as foods and health will fare alright. Any others that are in competition with offshored corporates are forked. By all means take your chances with it. Zero sum requires that there is another willing mug on the other side of the equation. So essentially, increasing numbers of your ilk are NECESSARY for this process and will be suitably groomed, unless of course, you are smartly positioned.
