$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Tanada', 'I')f we are going to play evolution science then the Aquatic Ape Hypothesis makes a lot more sense too me.
+1

People have little fur probably because we are aquatic apes. Our body fat composition is also consistent with being a semi-aquatic animal. Our young have swimming instincts. Breath holding. I'd say it's most likely we developed in a now dried up inland sea in north east Africa.
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'O')ther mammals have moved from terrestrial to aquatic habitation. That a great ape made such a change is not unique or unpredictable in the history of the mammalian experience. Food in a warm shallow inland sea would have been abundant and is known to be productive of growth and change. Large aquatic predators probably did not exist. Then about 2 million years ago, our ancestors left aquatic life and returned to terrestrial habitation as the inland sea dried up. Our past can then be described as pre-aquatic, aquatic, and post-aquatic.

A few research papers other modern studies you can find on the internet if you look:
- Native northerners having more facial hair Facial hair which seems to have a lot to do with likelihood of exposure to cold and probably need for facial recognition.

- The appendix purpose is to hold good bacteria between bouts of diarrhea, which is a great advantage. But since it's purpose to hold bacteria, that's probably why they occasionally become infected.

- Wisdom teeth can have some purpose as a tooth, however they also function as a repository of stem cells. So wisdom teeth probably have multiple advantages including probably improving healing ability.

I always assumed humans evolved near the shoreline of East Africa and ate shellfish and fish-good for brain development-and have wrinkly feet and hands in water to more easily maintain a grip on rocks and on shellfish while foraging.

Its sorta one of those anecdotal things, but it has always seemed to me that we are *way* too good at harvesting fish, shellfish, and swimming birds for an aquatic nature to have not played a role in our late evolution, even without technology of any sort its trivial for a human to acquire this protein as long as the game population is healthy.

Not exactly scientific proof of course, but sure does make me wonder.
Yes we are, as we are,
And so shall we remain,
Until the end.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('timmac', 'T')his makes about as much sense as if the Eskimos are now growing fur because they have lived in cold climates for thousands of years.
