What would happen if I wrote a letter to all my representitives, senators, and the president that just had three sentences in it worded as this:

Why do we even have an immigration policy? After all, we don't enforce it. A law that is not enforced really has no reason to exist.

What would be the response to it?

I'm betting something along the lines of "If you would like us to listen to anything you have to say, please buy a plate at our next $10,000 per plate campaign dinner. Until then, piss off."

America is a nation of great freedoms. I love freedoms. It lets me go to the ball game in New York, and I can buy a hotdog there. America needs to enforce our immigration laws. That is why I am tying to initiate a work program with Mexico which would make illegal immigrants from Mexico legal. But, the tyranny of oppression is always at our doorstep. The threat of terrorists and people who want to do us harm is ever present. That is why we need national identity cards. So we can keep track of our citizens and know what they're doing.

Even though you were flipping me shit, I find that an actual believable letter from GWB. Anything to advance the Real ID Act, and stike fear into the hearts of men. Hmm, maybe I should send this letter off.
