Best SW Movie ever...
The problem is, of course, that not only is economics bankrupt, but it has always been nothing more than politics in disguise... economics is a form of brain damage.

A VERY good movie.

George (not Dubbya: George Lucas) has done VERY well, here.

I will not be surprised to see this one beat a lot of records, in terms of "takings".

LOLL has anyone seen the ad on TV where Darth Vader is negotiating with the two "M&M" erm, "mascots" (uh, whatever they are called this week)....the Red M&M decides to be a wise-guy and rejects Darth's reasonable offer of having Darth Vader's own image featuring on M&M's.

So Darth Vader does the Force Choke on the red M&M. The yellow M&M (who is watching the choking coughing demise of his friend) promptly says "We'll start making 'em Monday"

(I know a few politicians and business leaders I would LOVE to do that to. Choke I mean.)

Speaking of leaders- a SPOILER:

THE EMPORER DID IT!!

I was watching the movie (III) and I couldn't help think to myself about the energy being wasted on that planet.

LOL, I think ALL of the planets in the film did that (except the Wookie world).

Coruscant (erm, unsure of spelling) was a hugely energy intensive place.

But mind you, so were the spaceships that everyone seemed to be intent on destroying.

I haven't seen the movie yet but my theory is he turned to the dark side cause he was pissed at all the old ladies calling him "Annie" as a child. Sort of a boy named Sue thing.

Darth Vader and the New World Order

My 11 year old boys have to read this before I let them see it. Some of you should too
Let us make him who shall nourish and sustain us. What shall we do to be invoked; to be remembered in the earth.
We have tried with our first creatures but we could not make them venerate us.
So let us try to make obedient respectful beings who shall

I think they have infinite energy in Star Wars. I think Coruscent is completely city, with no vegetation at all.

These sequels should have never been made. I could give over 20 reasons off the top of my head, but you know them all.

As for this film being decent- I hate CGI. Almost universally. It has ruined single-handedly ruined more films that Jennifer Lopez (and the list of films she's been in grows every damned year...)

If I want sci-fi, I'll pretend to understand Akira or Blade Runner, and revel in the brilliance of Logan's Run ("fresh as harvest day!"). The fact is, if you ask me, George Lucas has been treading water ever since The Empire Strikes Back.

Well, since Grand Moff Tarkin was kicking around for much of the sequels, and had somehow missed all the blatant Jedi-ing, and he didn't believe in the force (Peter Cushing not being the one in the know? Weird) then we can guess that The Force isn't an energy source, at least not for mundane purposes.

Political slant to SW3/Sith :

http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/s ... 3291157_41
http://www.progressiveu.org/313_star_wars_sith

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', '"')If you're not with me, then you're my enemy," Hayden Christensen's Anakin (soon to become villain Darth Vader) tells former mentor Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor). The line echoes Mr. Bush's international ultimatum after the Sept. 11 attacks, "Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists."

I feel like Star Wars is more fantasy than sci fi, because there is no scientific explanations to any of their technology. They probably generate energy out of nothing.
