$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('vision-master', 'I') just want someone to look after me in my old age. :)

You should marry Bill Cosby!

He's rich, famous and an advocate of the metric system. He's also got a huge collection of warm multi-coloured sweaters which could come in handy when it gets peak-oilish and you have to set the thermostat to 15 degrees Celsius.

To spice up your marriage, you could also play "Bill Cosby sweater" in bed.

I didn't like the superficial characters Theo and Vanessa Huxtable in the Bill Cosby Show. In fact, I didn't like the Bill Cosby Show at all. I did have a little crush on Denise Huxtable though who I thought was very pretty.

Well, there you have it... It doesn't really get more depressing than this.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Oneaboveall', '
')I'd just like to meet a woman who doesn't turn out to be insane, evil, phony, or shallow. :(

All women are insane, evil, phony and shallow. At least the ones who hang out here at PO.com.

We had a dating thread going here a couple of years ago. It turned out that all PO-chicks had a crush on me because of my wit, social status and intelligence. Maybe it's a good idea to start another one now that we've all matured a bit and found out that peak oil has been canceled due to rain.

It's like when they had to move the Ladies German Open Golf from Munich to Stuttgart back in 1981 due to rain and storm and a few of the golf ladies got lost on the way. They all traveled in a bus together from Munich, but when they arrived in Stuttgart, two German ladies, two South African ladies and one lady from Slovenia had mysteriously disappeared and were never found again. I think they concluded that it was some kind of "inter-dimensional anomaly" or some such behind the disappearance of the ladies, but I don't know what to believe.

That's how I feel right now. Like a lady golfer.

Do you also feel like a lady golfer sometimes?

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Carlhole', 'I') still avidly look at and talk to the girls in their 20's and 30's...

They say one sex shapes the other. Question is: Who did the better job?

I say men did!

Hey Carlito!

You'll never get married because you believe in the ludicrous "Technological Singularity" theory. Women don't want tinfoil hats, they want men (or women) who visit swinger clubs, experiment with drugs and chase their neighbours with a stick dipped in dog shit.

Do you remember when you were a wee lad and were chasing your chubby little friends with a stick you just had dipped in fresh dog shit? Do you remember how the feeling of absolute power rushed through your body when your chubby little friends ran for their life, screaming as you chased them? Do you remember when little Colin fell during a chase and got a scrape wound on his knee and stained his shorts, and how his mother yelled at you? Do you remember how you ran when little Colin had a stick with fresh dog shit on it and he chased you?

It's like in the movie the Silence of the Lambs where Clarice Starling remembered how her foster parents slaughtered lambs and how she knew they were all dead when the screaming had stopped. That memory followed her into adulthood and shaped her in all possible ways. Everyone has memories from their childhood that have helped shape them. In your case, it's little Colin and his stick.

Food for thought.

Thank you!

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('eastbay', 'T')here is a very good reason why the Spanish use the same word for wife as they do for a pair of handcuffs. 8O

Don't you Americans call your wife the "ball and chain"?

I think I heard that expression being used in a movie with that fat, obnoxious fella whose name I've forgotten.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('FairMaiden', 'I')'m a woman and I never went for men with money. Men with money seemed to dislike my intelligence for some reason...

I don't think men or women should wear lip gloss. Looks too much like plastic lips. Very unappealing.

Dear FairMaiden,

thank you for giving your input to this thread.

In my opinion, it's a miracle you've managed to get married. Everything is wrong with you:

1. You're intelligent.
2. You have your own money.
3. You want to procreate.

That makes me a bit interested in your "hubby". You say that he's incredibly funny. In what way? Do you mean like Al Jolson or John Cleese funny or more like Spiro Agnew funny? You also say that he has an open mind. Do you mean open minded like Noam Chomsky?

Thank you for your opinion on lip gloss. Thanks to your recommendation, I've decided to avoid using lip gloss in the future.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Narz', 'M')arriage is frightening.

Speaking from experience, a wife is a nice thing to have, especially another man's wife
An ideology is by definition not a search for TRUTH-but a search for PROOF that its point of view is right

Equals barter and negotiate-people with power just take

You cant defend freedom by eliminating it-unknown

Our elected reps should wear sponsor patches on their suits so we know who they represent-like Nascar-Roy
