We do not have free market in any case.
I we do, banking system in its current edition would no longer exist.
I have also much doubt about this sharing calls.
Not enough to share to keep all going.
Part will keep everything and rest will be thrown of the boat.
Conservatives fears are mainly related to collapse of corporate world where they hold much power (but Liberals also do).
As per my view corporations may well go to hell.
There will be nothing to miss.

There are always calls from the left to ration and to share. There are always calls from the right to de-regulate and let the free market solve the problem.
Peak oil is unlikely to be any different.
