No society can surely be flourishing and happy, of which the far greater part of the members are poor and miserable. I (WN I.viii.36).

Exactly right.

Thats why we've got to chuck Pelosi and the democrats out of the House and put a brake on Obama's failed economic policies that are exploding the deficit and destroying US jobs.

The US should be focused on creating jobs...not bailouts.

Don't try to pretend the Republicans have the worker's best interests at heart.

Republicans just recently blocked legislation that would have blocked subsidies to companies who outsource. It is very clear what side of the fence they are on.

And let us not forget who's mess this is.

The Bush administration's financial malfeasence brought about the collapse of the worldwide economy.

This is not just a US phenomena. The entire planet was sacked by the Republicans.

That the Obama Administration was able to resuscitate our economy at all is a minor miracle.

Sorry, Cid, I'd assume you can do much better than that, especially as aspiring historian. The elections were clearly "theoretical" opportunity of a century to restructure the system. Well, the people let the real candidates like Gravel, Cucinich and perhaps even Paul, and their issues, completely marginalize in the dark.

The Obama person has never been in his professional life any sort of effective agent of change, the same applies to the core of Repukratic bipartsian structure.

Some people say you can't blame the rape victim for the crime, well in this case, it has been yet again voluntary, daylight, gang-bang par excellance.

The Obama admin. is a prefab joke from the day one (as hinted even before that), they ran the campaign almost as promising NewDeal v2.0, bamboozeling the yet again uber-gulible public. In terms of delivery, instead, it's a classic kick the "imperial implosion can" few years down the road, featuring plumbers all-star team: Summers, Geithner, Emanuel, Gates, ..

I hope it will be landslide victory for Republicans, for everyone to see how useless the Dem faction of the establishment has become. In this stage of late game, there is only one solution, and that's called creative destruction, let the whole mess collapse hard, and start from there. With "new" people (finally de-brainwashed and impoverished), new geopolitical cards, and what have you. Messy and dangerous? Yep.

ps that MoveOn lady situation is unfortunate, but as her organization has been debunked years ago as faux-left, gatekeeping, pseudo anti-war propaganda outfit driven by the big fund propped up "progressives", have no mercy really. Sorry, she should have joined another (genuine anti-establishment) team in the first place. Perhaps, in return she can write complain to HuffingtonPost, Amy Goodman or their god Chomsky "JFK was just another bastard" himself, these outfits and shills will gladly supply dozens of thousands crying readers for her.
