$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('rockdoc123', 'M')y understanding is that they are only on the hook for a maximum of 75 MM although there is a bill going to be pushed through Senate that raises this to 10 billion.
The nuke power industry also enjoys a liability exemption, for the same reason - they can't get insurance.

If the US retroactively cancels the oil industry exemption, who will ever build a nuke power station in the US?

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Keith_McClary', '

In coming years (5-30 years timespan) overwhelming majority of corporations will get bankrupt.
So they don't care.
They can either do nothing and get bankrupt faster or build leaky oil wells, collapsing bridges or popping up nuclear reactors and get bankrupt a bit later as a result of lawsuits.
The second option allows them to exist a little bit longer, so they will go for it.
And they have no resources to carry on work in proper fashion, with sound engineering practice and with use of first choice raw materials.
They are also lacking capital for carrying out decommissioning tasks, so infrastructure built will have to collapse by natural course of events.

The era of abundance is already gone for good.
You must understand that a backbone of industrial civilization is already broken.
Now it is time to go bankrupt.

¿stupid? ..... ¿¿conspiracy??

The way I see it, it is advisable to look to both sides of the highway before attempting to cross it over to the other side. Pragmatism should prevent you from being hit by that slow truck called "REALITY" !

Re: I Don't Smell Sabotage, I Smell Nazi Propaganda

I've noticed that as well. In addition, the upsurge in alien conspiracies adds nicely to the picture of idiot paranoia thats being stoked as the fcukwits who manage our global economy work furiously to cover up their financial and environmental cockups.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('PrestonSturges', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Cloud9', 'D')oes anyone smell sabotage here? Why would the President be sending SWAT teams to oil rigs?

That would be the same international Marxist/Jewish conspiracy the Nazis claimed burned the Reichstag?

The right is pretty working exclusively from the Nazi propaganda play book at this point.

All of these make me think in a word: "COMPLICITY" .... criminal complicity. Yet it stands quite short from the overall panorama!!
