While still firmly stuck in denial, JD seems like he has actually inched closer to understanding the magnitude of the problems we face with Peak Oil. He sees it as a long term issue over which he personally has little control. He has changed his view from Peak Oil being an instant event like a meteor strike, into a long term crisis with no quick space mirror fix. He no longer wishes to spend his energy trying to "debunk it" anymore.
Honestly, this seems like growth to me. His positions have shifted closer to reality. He seems less dogmatic.
It sounds like a peakoil.com success story to me!
Here’s to JD’s growth! May you one day realize things as they are, probabilistic and subject to change.
