Now spec, you can't call yourself a hillbilly without any hills. There just ain't no hillbillies in Nebraska, any hillbilly knows that.

Can I at least be a redneck?

Seahorse is right, you just ain't a hillbilly. You ain't really a hillbilly if you wasn't born in a holler where the sun don't come up until eleven and sets by one. But a redneck is just as good. <edited for hillbilly speak>

Here are some hills for your flat land Specop. Unfortunately there are no good views until the leaves are off in the winter. We also have a small waterfall with a cave near it. The cave is about eight feet high in the front, twenty feet wide and twelve feet deep. The kids are always going down there to play. I can't find the cd with pictures of it.

This is the view off my back deck. You just can't see the forest for the trees....

Image

this is my driveway....with the spring garden, grape arbor & small orchard started., and "bruiser the loser"
Image

This is the field at the top of our property, the lane to it is just over half a mile, it is all up hill. The field is right about 5 acres and is the lagest flat area we have.

Image

This is how I got to the field :-D I didn't feel like walking that far in the mud.
Image

A rock outcropping on the back side...all down hill. (see what my boy is holding)

Image

The field behind the house. Around here you have to use every little bit of flat land you have. That hill is considered flat, or maybe just a speedbump, so around here it is a field. We will be burning the wood pile on July 4th. Hotdogs, beer and marshmallows, yum.

Enjoy, & thanks for the help.

Awesome. I would actually prefer to live there simply because wheres theres forest theres life.
And where theres life theres something to shoot. Rabbits, birds, squirrels......
But then again, I do like the flat lands....

I don't know hippiegunlover,

You definitely live in the hills, but that don't make you no hillbillie. First, your name is hippiegunlover, not hillbilliegunlover. Hillbillies don't take digital photos and definitely don't have the internet. Second, those kids didn't come from no hillbillies. They definitely aint from "AINTRY." There's no dried snot under their noses; they obviously bathed the night before; their all wearing shoes and clean shirts, one even zippers (and not some old logo t-shirt). They're actually playing with store bought toy guns and not using sticks for guns (these ain't no hillbilly kids- these are hippie kids). I also didn't see any broken down cars, only a nice 4 wheeler without a deer rack and a well fed dog. Even though you didn't show us a picture of the tractor, you have to have one, the grass is all nicely cut. And, there weren't no pictures of the homestead, bc, then, the fraud would be revealed. There ain't no shack on that place! I guarantee it.

I never take pics of the kids when they are dirty, I see them like that all the time. In my old age I want to look back and pretend they were clean all the time. I find stick "guns" all over the yard, they go back into the kindling pile. The dog is my neighbors, he was pretty thin when he started coming around, but I take good care of my animals, you won't see them hungry. I should have a pic of our "brown truck" a beastly 1980 (or so) GMC 3/4 ton. The best vehicle ever. It even has farm use spray painted on the side.
We only hunt deer in the front yard so we don't have to haul them far, then hang them on the engine lift to skin & gut. We don't need no out house neither, that's what the pine trees are for!

OK, got to stop, it's getting deep in here.

I guess the kids are only half hillbilly, dh's family is from Pennsylvania, but I will never admit that to anyone in person! Here is the house now.

I've tried three times to resize these, sorry.

I knew there weren't no shack out there, and I knew there weren't no trailer neither. What's up with the star above the window? You got a manger in there?

I like the simplicity of foregoing the outhouse and just using the pinetrees. Wouldn't work at my house though. I've never been able to get my wife to use a pinetree, I can hardly get her to use the toilet after me, but, its not all bad, means we can still eat the bark and boil the needles if we get hungry enough.

A Northdakaoan once told me: "...in the plains, a hill is the side of a hole." I know 2 ex-Nebraskans living here and 1 is totally PO aware.

Anything to help.

Aint much planning involved. It isnt like theres any hills you can hide behind or valleys you can use to sneak up to the house with.

Just dont let the dogs bitechya in the ass. In fact, dont let them bark at all.

Dads a better shot then me, and has less patience. 8O
