Some unaware people might appreciate this web site
if they only knew about it,
Here is a fun poem to pull them to come take a look.
You can email it to a friend maybe?
Methane is a natural gas,
Says everyone that sees it.
It gasses in a natural pass
and heats you when you please it.
The world is warming day by day
The glaciers will not freeze it
they're melting in a runny way,
the cow behinds, they tease it.
The ozone hole is here to stay
and to its rays we submit
The legislature laws away
but still those rays will transmit
We're poking holes into the ground
with every sort of drill bit.
We used most sweet, now second rate,
and soon we'll date the tar pit
I read this on peakoil dot com
it me between the eyes hit,
but then with time and lots of posts
I now come to accept it.
That sick, small fish, now in the sea,
we still do grab and eat it;
An innefficient food, the cow,
by millions we their throat schlitt. (sorry)
The methane is a sign of change,
of industry and stock split,
We're running super double fast,
and soon "the wall" we shall hit.
And then we'll whine "Why can't I dine,
on caviar and crumpet?"
My father ate the likes of these,
topped of with a banana split.
We see the tree but not the woods,
It dies as we pollute it.
Now this, the peak of oil and life;
We cannot now refute it.
The end is here, some cry and scream
And others live like clampitt.
But mostly people plan and dream
and gasly burn, and emit.
The peak is coming; like the bus,
with 50 not seat-belted
"No worries, mate! and off they fly,
"We n'er before have felt it!"
The end.
You can share this or parts of it freely, depending on your friends lifestyle. just leave the peak oil verse in there.
P.S. you can add verses if you wish but then they become public domain also.
