Volume = Width x Length x Depth, so, if this were a standard rectangular pool, you would come up with 16x35x5=2800. This number is in cubic feet and there are approximately 7.5 gallons of water in one cubic foot, so, 2800 x 7.5 = 21000 gallons.

21,000 gallons / 42 gallons/barrel = 500 barrels for a nice California swimming pool full of crude oil.
