Yup, isn't it ODD the way that Oil is now waaay waaay waay above the "magic" figure predicted by the Economic Rationalists / Freemarket Fundamentalists: US$25 per barrel.

Yet everyone keeps believing them: "Deregulate!" "The Freemarket Is The Answer!".

Ahh, but what was the question, again?

Have ever, even once, heard an economist to say that they were wrong about anything at all? You can dig up countless of articles where eccies say that it is absolutely physically IMPOSSIBLE for oil to go beyond 35$ mark. Yet here we are.

But oil is still ridiculously cheap, even at 64$. There would still time to chance the course. But there is no political will. Why did we let economists to take all the power?
