Beyond the incredibly retarded named (it's spelled HOLDERS), this does seem like an interesting ETF.

Lots of different oil service companies.

Due to the incredible retardation of the people at Merril Lynch, they won't tell us what the ETF consists of except at trading days, but this is what it looked like back in 2006.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', '
')Baker Hughes Incorporated BHI 21

BJ Services Company BJS 28

Cooper Cameron Corporation (1) CAM 8

Diamond Offshore Drilling, Inc. DO 11

ENSCO International Incorporated ESV 11

GlobalSantaFe Corp. GSF 19.975

Grant Prideco, Inc. GRP 9

Halliburton Company HAL 22

Hanover Compressor Company HC 5

Nabors Industries, Inc. NBR 12

National-Oilwell Varco, Inc. NOV 7

Noble Corporation NE 11

Rowan Companies, Inc. RDC 8

Schlumberger Ltd. (2) SLB 11

Smith International, Inc. SII 16

Tidewater Inc. TDW 5

Transocean Inc. RIG 18

Weatherford International, Inc. (3) WFT 18

I'll get back with the real proportions on Monday. But has anyone any experience with this ETF? Or any comments or idea?

Peak oil is not an energy crisis. It is a liquid fuel crisis.

1) It's still retarded.

2) We're bathing in cheap energy around here.

3) Do you have anything useful to add or will you just keep procrastinating?

I love OIH, but I don't own it yet (just some of the top companies in it). I'm coming to realize that investing in the majors is giving diminishing returns given their inability to replace reserves.

I think oil services have the most to gain in a PO world. Of course, the great economic unwinding could take down everything - but then we're all screwed anyway :(
