Hm, there used to be times, when presidents or candidates had the guts to fire unsubordinate generals and "deep politics level" charlatans nominally sitting on their team, representing special interest, not the people. Hm, that was almost half a century ago and even then the public rather turned away, inward into self hedonism and what have you. In that light, it might be wise to call these rare moments the exception to the standard rule of the day. People are perhaps wired-up by nature to be left bamboozled and hobbled in continuous fashion in pyramid like social-control schemes. Who knows, perhaps a series of extinction near events and lived through eco-bottlenecks will allow for some fundamental changes. Lets call it project 10000AD, or 8k years after the last major shave.
