What I heard was, prices are going up but its really not a big deal.

IMO it IS a big deal and PO is the proxiamate cause, but they didn't say it or didn;t say it in a way so that I understood that message.
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Alfred Tennyson', 'W')e are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

Like all CNBC videos, there was something in there for everybody. The main talking head says "I think it will get down to 85 at some point, but the average for next year will be over 100" the other talking head says "maybe it will be less" the other one says "maybe it will be much more".

I posted it because there was actually some discussion about the concept that even though Iran appears to be safe, the so-called "iran premium" is still in the price.

My god what a childish TV show.

It's like finance for five year-olds.
Peak oil is not an energy crisis. It is a liquid fuel crisis.

I don't hold CNBC in very high esteem either.

But at least there was a hint the international majors' investment might not be delivering the goods at the moment, which is radical stuff from the cheerleaders. The price prediction seems to be a wide band around something like the present level, but the analyst has no strong opinion on either the outlook for the economy or what else the future may bring (no blame on a commodity bubble from the anchors - sloppy), leaving open the possibility that the current price could be a springboard for anything. I am inclined to agree to an extent.
