I don't hold CNBC in very high esteem either.
But at least there was a hint the international majors' investment might not be delivering the goods at the moment, which is radical stuff from the cheerleaders. The price prediction seems to be a wide band around something like the present level, but the analyst has no strong opinion on either the outlook for the economy or what else the future may bring (no blame on a commodity bubble from the anchors - sloppy), leaving open the possibility that the current price could be a springboard for anything. I am inclined to agree to an extent.
