Moose stew is really good (especially after you shoot the moose yourself and then gut and hacksaw and cut and man-haul 600 pounds of meat out of the bush).

There was is great X-country ski racer that lived in Alaska. While everyone else would be doing the pasta fill, he would eat large portions of Moose meat the night before the race.

My brother makes a lot of jerky and he won't TOUCH moose. Says it tastes like $hit... something about it having a "mud" flavor or swamp flavor. Although i think he hates goose even more...
lawns should be outlawed.

My brothers spent over $500 this weekend planting corn (seed/fertilizer/tractor) on 5 acres or so of land...all to feed the deer!...

Oh...i love chicken soup with a whole chicken. I usually make homemade noodles too... I like making the noodles really thick.
lawns should be outlawed.

tonight Bing, Warna and Joycelin made pancit (noodles), paksil (fish soup) and manok adobo (chicken adobo.) For desert, mango and German chocolate cake. I think the kids are only eating the cake.

Oh, and happy mothers day to all you mothers...:)

visitor brought a beef roast. Usually we eat within spitting distance of free deer, almost free chicken or practically free rabbit. It was good. Cooked in a crock pot with free potatoes and store bought carrots.

I'm making Jello with carbonated orange pop.

(Made the chicken soup the other day).

That Moose soup sounds kind of bland -- no herbs or spices. :!:
Summertime, and the livin' is easy...

Jayson we eat lots of spinach salads, we go with the egg and bacon, plus raw mushrooms, blue cheese, walnuts, shaved pear and sometimes croutons, delish!
Perhaps the population would be less swayed to socialism if we had fewer examples of socialism from our "Free Market Capitalists". -----fiddler dave

Mushrooms can kill me, so I am forced to dine without them.

Shanny, try marinating chicken pieces in a mixture of coconut milk and nam pla (asian fish sauce) for a few hours, skewer and grill. Everyone who has tried it has said MMmmmmm!

Jason, you are truly missing out on one of natures yummies.

The problem is, of course, that not only is economics bankrupt, but it has always been nothing more than politics in disguise... economics is a form of brain damage.
