This tuesday will be it. Sci-fi might pick it up (that's just my speculation).

Well there you have it..

What a shame. Hopefully when season two comes to DVD they will include the alternative ending they shot hoping there would be a season three.

Maybe TPTB thought it was getting a little too close to the future truth?

I'm generally pretty open-minded when it comes to grand conspiracies, but in this instance, I'm inclined to believe it's more a symptom of an archaic ratings system.

Over the last decade or so, television programming has shifted from the "reasonably intelligent" to the current drivel. The programs that do well in the ratings are universally lowest common denominator garbage that caters to the luddites who can't afford Tivo.

Just look at how Nielson manages it's data. It didn't even start measuring Tivo data until 2005, and it's still not fully incorporated. They haven't even started looking at internet viewing.

You would think the "nuts" campaign would have made the industry change course, but let's face it: institutional inertia is a powerful force.

Shouldn't that be current Mindless drivel?
As for programming, there hasn't been a good "subliminal" uproar in ages.

Agreed. Looks like they will go back to the old formula of "Reality Television".

Reality television-phooey!! It is so sad that good writing has been on the decline for years.
