Industrial agriculture post peak.

Discussions about the economic and financial ramifications of PEAK OIL

Can industrial agriculture convert from oil to renewable electricity as energy input, and would it be sustainable?

Yes, I know it can (because I have factual knowledge about the issue).

Industrial agriculture can never be sustainable even if the energy input could be made sustainable.

Not only is industrial agriculture not sustainable but I submit that agriculture of any kind is not sustainable. Agriculture itself has been around for less than ten thousand years. Look what it has done in that time.

Before that time Humans lived sustainably for two million years by hunting and gathering. It may be that hunting and gathering will turn out to be our "default setting" after the peak. We shall soon see.
