On the way to work there is a traffic light which, if my timing isn't perfect, I get stuck at for about 5-6 minutes waiting for it to turn green. Today was such a day; I ended up being the first car waiting in line at the light which had just turned red.

In the intersection in front of me, off to the right a bit, were two butterflies fluttering about. Maybe they were playing with each other, doing a mating dance or getting ready to rumble, I don't know. I watched the two floating up and down, left and right for a couple of minutes, mesmerized by the simple beauty of nature and it made me realize how many amazing events take place all around me every day.

Then a car flew into the pair at over 50 MPH. One of them hit the street and didn't move, the other was flipped higher into the air but was still able to fly. This one flew down to the ground near the "fallen" one and sat there fairly still... until another car came whizzing by and blew them both out of my sight.

The light turned green a few seconds later and I continued on to work.
