How does Franz Harary make buildings disappear?

Hello All!

my question is how does the magician Franz Harary make buildings disappear? I know that his illusions are only effective from a certain point triangulated by him.

I saw on BBC2 television him making Tower Bridge in London disappear. This was filmed from a video camera that has one lens. Humans have two lenses (eyes). It can't be anything to do with the blind spot of human eye / brain can it?

Never seen him but Copperfield made the Statue of Liberty disappear by turning the lights off that lit her while leaving all the others on.
