$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('deep_logic', 'H')i all,
I'm an amateur in the PeakOil field and used to read the The Oil Drum site a few years' back. My specialty is the Electricity field (Substations to be precise) and have always been curious about Energy markets, natural monopoly's, utilities, regulations, etc.
I hope to learn a lot and thanks for letting me in!
With your background, I would expect that you will have lots to contribute to certain threads. Electricity come up quite a bit for some reason...
In my county in Virginia, they have been upgrading all of our substations and tying them together with 230kV lines to be able to shunt power as needed and
laying new/upgraded ductbanks and lines everywhere it seems. Seems like a good idea - is that happening everywhere?
