')X, you would fit in perfect @ labusas.org - them mutha fookers banned me for talking about peakoil.

Whats wrong with that? Spouting one's religious beliefs in motorcycle forums is probably more than a little OT, isn't it?

I used to hang around with those dicks, no wonder why Harley riders hate you fookers. I'm with the Harley riders. I don't wave @ crotch rocket riders. :)

Maybe those "dicks" simply recognized unsolicited religious pontification when they see it? It's a Busa forum right? Preaching peak oil mythology to a gang who goes out and pumps crude based fuels into their ICE powered playtoys can be a tough sell.

Hardley riders hate other riders because their very existence demonstrates that some don't buy into the Hardley value system of high prices, overweight, underpowered and marginally reliable motorcycles. I wave at everyone who waves first, myself, be they on touring bikes like a Busa, performance machines, or Hardleys.

Not in an IronButt rally it isn't. And for good reasons which the average chrome polisher would never understand.

Hardley sells well because the advertising has turned them into the fashion accessory of choice for dentists. There are still old time Hardley guys, but I hung out in a shop for half a day once, test riding Buells. The dockers, sweaters and much younger wives were highly indicative of this change in Hardley owner demographics. Like cuff links or a Rolex, nothing more. None of these people can actually RIDE a motorcycle, that would involve leaning it over. OMG!

Have you ever been caught in a Hardley parade in the canyons? Its pathetic.

Yeah, I'm already planning on lot's of mid-morning 'lunch' rides next summer - I'm retired, so time is no issue. I can get a really nice samie for like $6 an then finish off the ride just in time for an afternoon nap. Lifes Been Good :)

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('pstarr', '
')I dare say you have never been on a motorcycle, crotch rocket or hog. You rip the lingo off the internet, the same as your NG investor blather.

In year order, not purchase order.

1977 Yamaha RD400
1980 Honda CX500
1982 Kawasaki Spectre 750
1985 Kawasaki ZL900 Eliminator
1985 Kawasaki KLR600
1986 Kawasaki KLR650
1986 Kawasaki ZL600 Eliminator
1986 Yamaha Vmax
1986 Kawasaki 600 Ninja
1989 Kawasaki ZX-10 ( X 2 )
1990 Yamaha FZR400
1993 Suzuki GSX-1100G
1994 Honda CBR900RR
1994 Yamaha FZR1000
1996 Yamaha Seca II
2000 Honda F4 ( X 2 )
2001 Honda CBR929
2001 Suzuki SV650
2002 Suzuki GSXR-750
2003 Suzuki DL1000 VStrom
2008 Kawasaki KLR650

The FZR's, Honda F4, 900RR and 929RR, the sv650 and the gixxer were track/street machines.

Would you like me to describe the handling differences among a few of them in the SS's at Road Atlanta? Or pre and post the Gravity Cavity? Or perhaps how they handled the Corkscrew at Laguna Seca?

I also was offered a job from Halliburton to sell and rent Ajax natural gas compressors back in the 1980's. Turned them down of course. Those were the days..... 8)

Notice how well Hardley Ableson is represented.

Like I said, you want to do this right, you don't waste your time with a machine specializing in being overpriced, underpowered, overweight, and questionably reliable.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('GASMON', '
') Just topped up the family chariot - 5.5 (UK) gallons nearly £32. Allready talk of oil shortages & much higher prices if the trouble in the middle east escalates.

You Brits will get by. Costs me nearly $15/week to fill up the family cages. Good thing this round of possible issues isn't peak oil related though, just the normal geopolitical baloney we've suffered through before.

Of course you wouldn't want to talk about finishing order. Paying attention to that list calls to everyones attention what it takes to do well in the ultimate motorcycle long distance riding rally in the States.

And, as we observe, Hardley didn't make that list. Chrome polishers need not apply...

Incorrect. I just don't buy into your religion any better than they do.

I would never have banned you of course, I firmly believe that when peak oil is discussed in an objective environment it becomes obvious rather quickly how incoherent the idea appears, and the more converts the congregation members try and turn, the quicker everyone can arrive at the correct conclusions as to its' validity.

Nope. My posts were first just having selected pieces edited out, and later erased wholesale. I suppose you might have mistaken that for a ban? Apparently the conclusive scientific evidence I had been presenting was just too much for regular posters to handle. 8)

Shorty was banned. But upon being banned, he split into Xenoplebe and DumbersUnite. If Xenoplebe gets banned, he will simply split into two more aliases, and those two aliases will, in turn, split into 2+2 new alter egos, and those four aliases will, in turn, split into 2+2+2+2 new alter egos, and those 8 clones will, in turn, split into 2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2 new sockpuppets ... and so on ... and so on ...

Much like runaway bacteria dividing endlessly in a plagued host, there's no way to stop this scourge.

Its sad, too, because I'd love it if Xeno was right... life would be a lot easier.

I just have no faith in market fundamentalism to fix everything, nor do I have faith in our political leaders to fix everything either (especially seeing as how our political leaders are essentially puppets to the economic leaders that they whore themselves to)
