I watched the cable news and got so whipped up and giddy I fired up
my cassette tape Walkman with new batteries and sticking the
way cool mini headphone orange pads on my ears I began to
1980's slam dance around the family room ...

The dog ran up and danced with me, jumping up and down, and
barking and snapping her 13 year old dog jaw almost in time to
the music in my ears. I ripped the headphones off my ears and
lectured my teenage daughter who was rolling her eyes on the sofa:

"You see, your old man has hope, and so does the old dog!"

She brought me back to earth when she said that I probably couldn't
hear it with my headphones on, but my joints were popping and crackling
and snapping as I lurched around like a goosed giraffe. The kid was right,
the dog is a sucker for a rice crispie treat, just like the old man.

Well, if Happy Days are here again I guess we'll see what happens when he hit that oil supply limit again.
