I use an old Gilette safety razor. You can still buy the double sided blades in supermarkets, even big chains. You can hone the blades after they've dulled, much better shave than those hideous plastic jobs too, although I'm looking forward to trying the Shick Infini-T, which will have unlimited blades owing to the progress of Moore's Law:

there, my poetic contribution for the day. I use the hideous plastic ones. But I do have the old fashioned brush and lather-in-a-glass. I'm still using the same box of lather disks that I bought 8 years ago and have plenty left. I do have an old fashioned razor and strap but I never got used to using it.
