One thing I will take credit for saying on here and I am sticking with it....

Peak oil will never be realized by the masses because the entire economy will collapse before peak oil really sets in. We will never experience the cliff that is ahead. Demand will have long crashed before the cliff occurs.

Sigh - I'm still here but lurk mostly. I have been PO aware since about 1998 and it was nice to find this site to chat on. Honestly surprised how long things have managed to drag on in extend and pretend mode. Interesting to see how the economic collapse and oil price/supply played against each other. I suppose we'll get to run another cycle of that soon enough.
