Raw foods are great when they contain e-Coli and salmonella. This whole raw-food thing is a total fad.

go ahead, keep drinking your dirty pasteurized products.

of course you probably don't realize the reason they are pasteurized... maybe the fact that dairies are allowed 4000 part per million of pure cow shit to be in the milk before any action is taken against them.

we've been drinking our own raw milk for about two years now. it is far cleaner than anything you'll find at the grocery store. in fact, we (family of 4) haven't been sick with anything since we began drinking it. not even the typical yearly cold/flu that everyone gets.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Serial_Worrier', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Falconoffury', 'I')sn't it great living in a country where you are allowed to smoke ciggarettes, drink alcohol, and eat hydrogenated oils, but you can't drink raw milk? Raw foods are too healthy for Americans.

Anyone miss me? After a few years, I'm back!

Hey, how do you think you got e-Coli in your gut in the first place? Probiotic pills?

An interesting problem modern humans face is lack of exposure to the things the body is designed to defend against, then it starts picking itself apart aka the hygiene hypothesis. A kid who grows up in a home that's too clean is more likely to have allergies and all that. The dirty truth is we get our beneficial bacteria from ingesting it and we get a healthy immune system by having real things to fight against.

Also I think a big part of the whole "raw milk" thing, what's really going on is that is the government wants to muscle out high quality farmers who don't use sick cows because big farms can't compete. So instead of regulating big farms for higher quality they are going after small farmers.

The reason I think this might be the case is because the government won't allow and will ban beef that is tested for Mad Cow disease. With Mad Cow testing, the big farms will lose money testing because they have lots of sick cows, so they pushed legislators to crack down on the small farmers. No joke.
