Thanks for the link... good read.

How about this for a scary twist?

Who is ultimately responsible for the terrible things done by humanity?

Or who bears greater responsibility for these transgressions?

Common sense says that it's the rapist who is responsible for the rape. But what about the people who knew it was happening, and did nothing?

Certainly the rapist is responsible for that individual rape, but what of the responsibility the rest of us have in all rapes?

Who is more guilty, Hitler and his Nazi minions, or the millions who sat by and didn't oppose them?

I assert that our collective apathy is the real culprit.

Hitler is forever branded by the atrocities of the Nazi movement to be sure. But humanity en mass, is complicit in the rise of all tyrants throughout history.

So I ask what is worse:

An individual evil-doer acting on the strength of his convictions, or everyone else who fosters and enables said evil-doer for a slight personal advantage?

At least the evil-doer is acting on a conviction of belief.

The rest of us sell our humanity for a handful of magic beans. No great convictions & ideals, just the tiny pleasures of a selfish individual.

So who is worse, the rapist, or the people who heard the anguish cries of the victim... and did nothing.
The problem is, of course, that not only is economics bankrupt, but it has always been nothing more than politics in disguise... economics is a form of brain damage.
