Panama is about to learn that it is not democratic enough and some democracy supplements are going to be dropped on them from American aircraft.
Canada is going to be next in line.
Denmark next.
Then Mexican drug cartels will be declared freedom fighters by EU and BRICS and they will get international military aid.
Trump's presidency certainly is not going to be boring. :-D

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Shaved Monkey', 'T')o abolish the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and for other purposes. https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-con ... ll/86/text

President Donald Trump has conceded consumers may suffer “pain” from his sweeping tariffs on goods from the US’s three biggest trading partners but insists it will be worth it,

The OSandH, down here we call it the OHandS, typical, nations in the West all follow each other in lockstep on big issues like Guns, interest rates, Housing bubbles, but when it comes to the agencies that screw people over they all use different names. This is so that when you search you'll not see a correlation, you'll never see the big picture. They make it worse by changing the names every decade or so.

OSH, well all that does is protect worker from getting maimed or killed. Who need that, not bosses

Before the Election: Trump will end the senseless war in the ukraine in a day.

Trump wants to exchange aid to Kiev for rare earth metals
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'a')ccording to the White House press pool. Trump expressed interest in receiving Ukrainian rare earth metals in exchange for the help of the United States.

"We expect to make a deal with them… I want to have guarantees for rare earth metals"

So the same Biden policy on the ukraine, which is actually the Military industrial policy. I should start a Lies of Trump thread, but what's the point, the brain deaders here will continue to believe for several months then do as they always do, crawl back into their holes on the matter and pretend they never believed any of it anyway. Meanwhile they'll go through the most uncomfortable cognitive dissonance as they continue to believe A/ Trump is their savior B/ Trump is reneging on all the election promises that matter.

It is nice to see some traces of sanity coming back to America.
Better late than never.
Trade wars with all nations around are certainly stupid but an executive order stating that there are only 2 sexes is a breathtaking breakthrough.
Disbanding racist projects directed against host population is another very brave move very much like deporting foreign criminals.
Churchill was right after all - "After trying everything else Americans will do the right thing at the very end".
So I will give a team of Trump & his hot girls (AFAIK there are 2 of them - Tulsi is not to be missed) a cautious thumb up. :-D

Ukraine will lose, Trump or no Trump.
Rare earth metals Trump will get after annexation of Greenland. :)

lucky,

You didn't really think Trump expected to actually implement those Tariffs as the final deal did you? Although he certainly would if needed, those were just to get everyone's attention, and it took less than three days for it to work. Heck, it took Columbia less than an hour. :)

Here we are on the first workday of the week, and we have a Tariff hold on both American Boarders. All as planned. I suggest you read "TRUMP: The art of the deal." He follows that strategy very closely. It will make figuring him out much easier.

For myself, I was not panicked about it at all. As a matter of fact, I bought some more BTC on the dip. :-D

Tomorrow, Trumps AI/Crypto Tzar will be making a presentation and taking questions. That should be fun to watch.

P.S. I watched the Dims appoint their minority leaders this weekend. Holy S#IT, their plan is to double down on their losing strategy. This should keep the Dims out of power for the next decade or so. As Obama once chortled, Elections have Consequences.

I have read news that Trump wants to occupy Gaza Strip.
IMO this idea looks rather daft, unless intention is to mobilize most of terrorists around a world to harm American interests and all unfriendly governments to help arming them.
On the top of it there is nothing worth occupation out there.

Other news are that rare earth elements and lithium which Trump wants to to get from Ukraine in exchange for military aid are already under Russian control and out of his reach by the same.

It all does not makes sense but brings WW3 even closer if attempted in real world.

I have to say, the latest Gaza move completely surprised me. It was like that totally unexpected Go move by AI a few years ago, that ended up winning the game. I actually hope he succeeds, but I'm certainly not holding my breath over it. The world is broken and needs to be fixed. We can do it, or nature will do it for/to us.

This Trump media circus is just that, a circus to distract Americans from the fact their fridges are empty. People need to turn off the TV and come back in a year and see what progress has been made then. All this business about Men in dresses and men-girls in girls sports is actually meaningless. I mean it only happened in the degenerate West and mostly in the US. The rest of the world never fell for the nonsense and reverting to the normal of a couple of decades ago won't refill the oil fields or make the food healthy. It wasn't a giant conspiracy! The West went for it, people wanted it just like they wanted Homosexuals in their midst, Lesbians in their midst. Degenerates, there is no point closing the gate after the horse has bolted.

Getting up early in the morning lately. Having trouble sleeping?

I concur with your assessment that Helenes damage was handled so poorly by the previous Vegetable in Chief. It is certainly being addressed now. The "Real world" you keep talking about is dead and has been replaced by a new real world. I watched today's White House Press Conference, so much better than Brandons were. I feel better.

In Canada we are still trying to figure out what Trump really wants. The 25% tariffs have been postponed until March but there is already damage to the US economy since many Canadians are really pissed and doing everything they can to avoid purchasing products from the US.

That's good for Canada, who knows maybe they will become a little more self-sufficient. New businesses will pop up to fulfill the need. More Canadian Dollars for Canadians. In a perfect world all, countries should be able to take care of their own people. Trade is best for luxuries, not necessities. This will make FF cheaper.

Speaking of Canada, can you do something about your Geese invading our country? They keep landing on my beach and S#it EVERYWHERE!! :P  :P

I agree. I was surprised to read recently that the US needs to import fruit and vegetables. People who think that the country with the third largest population in the world should just keep growing the population via open borders need to be made aware of that.

Yes, Canada Geese can certainly be a nuisance. I bike through the Experimental Farm here in Ottawa to get to/from work and there are hundreds of geese in the fields after the fall harvest. The farm hire a contractor who uses a border collie to chase the geese. It's funny to see because the geese eventually learn to recognize the vehicle used to transport the border collie and they take to the air as soon as they see the vehicle stop.

There is a wide belief in Poland (and I also subscribe to it) that Israeli lobby in US is so powerful that American government is making decisions to pursue Israeli interests even if these decisions are detrimental to objective American interests.
In this sense America is not really a sovereign entity.

Trump's declaration in this context can be seen as a declaration of obedience to Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyaho.
There is a competition between Democrats and Republicans to demonstrate who is more pro-Israeli, eg a sort of ass licking competition.
I have to admit that Musk does not fit well into this picture but this is an aberration. Didn't make my mind about his role yet.

For the longest time I have never thought it was. Money rules and buys leaders and the old European banking houses have been there forever. The Federal Reserve act that gave control of the money to those banks was the death-knell of any freedom they had. It explains why the US spends so much protecting the Europeans, why they went there for both world wars and other military actions. Why Trillions flow overseas while the people at home live in tents and overpriced suburban hovels. Because the political leadership are bought and paid for. Trump is bought and paid for, the banks fund his entire empire.

He's just there to muddy the waters I think. A popular figure, a Hero type, a techno-savior that a large fraction of the world worships. It's like a magic act, people are mesmerized by the tricks going on under the spotlight but fail to see the hands out of sight that are stuffing money into pockets.

It's another old old story, and well documented. The ruling class always becomes immeasurably wealthy as they manipulate the masses and loot them. But American politicians aren't immeasurably wealthy? No, and that just goes to show that they are not the ones in control  It's basic logic.

This is what many believe they have. They see themselves rising up against the overpowering armed forces of the US policing agencies and those agencies backing down. It was a great movie, but total fiction, a nice bit of social conditioning I thought, "It's ok, sit on your Big Fat Arses and munch cheetos, V will be along soon and set it all right

One way or another I like many domestic decisions of Trump, Vance and Musk trio.
They won't make America great again for sure but there is a good chance that at least it won't sink entirely.
To make it great again at least 5-7 decades of hard work is needed as wealth and status is difficult to gain and easy to lose and the latter have already happened.

Saying that I consider some of their foreign policy ideas to border with madness and consequences of few of them may prove catastrophic for everyone, including US.
And no, I don't see converting Canada into 51th state to be a big problem. Actually if you compare such move with other ideas of Trump & Co. it is an easy piece of cake.
So domestically - thumb up and internationally thumb down as it is quite likely brewing big global war.
