Documentary observation

As is my habit I watched the weeks backlog of science channel and history channel documentaries earlier and something really stuck out at me.

In at least two of them all monetary values were stated in Euro's instead of in dollars.

I don't recall that happening before, sometimes you would get a documentary where prices were stated in two currencies for the non-American audience but this is the first time ever I have heard documentaries for American consumption in foreign currency valuations.

What say you all?
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Alfred Tennyson', 'W')e are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

Haven't seen that before. Though I noted with interest that in Turkey, people prefer to accept payment in Euros rather than USD. Used to be dollars followed by any major European currency, not any more.
