$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('MrBean', '
')I would like to hear more introvert loser stories about attempts to share PO "thoughts and feelings" with the real life. My wife really hates those attempts I so poorly articulate, and I don't blame her (thogu I do) so I don't anymore even try, but anyone even more introvert loser would make my day.
I still do it just to see what sorts of reactions I get. Overall, I can report that teenagers are generally more receptive to the message than adults. And by the way, I talk with teenagers as I do with older people, i.e. I don't talk down to them. Once I showed the ASPO graph of the historic oil production curve to a couple of guys in their senior year of high school and they got it in an instant. Reaction: Oh Shit! I talk about it with adults and as I said, still get mostly opaque incredulity. But I did run across one who is quite actively involved and has met Rep. Roscoe Bartlett.

Why is that? Who but an extrovert would call himself 'Penultimatemanstanding'?

Someone with an inferiority complex trying to mask it with a superority complex.

Well thanks. btw, this whole business of superiority/inferiority complexes is a youthful preoccupation. When you get old it just seems like so much silliness.

Not to butt in to your conversation, however I wanted to relate a story regarding high school students getting it.

I'd handed out one of my regular peak oil news articles to a class of 10th graders. While they were reading it one guy blurts out "damn, I am so wasting my time in drivers ed!!".

I thought that showed a pretty good grasp of the subject.
