No one will win this game. The US and the West will go out kicking and screaming and for all their quick growth places like China and India are not going to become some sort of new Shangri-La.
Their growth has brought with it just as many problems and their populations still have large amounts of crushing poverty. They come very far only to watch the Brave New World just on the horizon slide out view has higher and higher energy costs begin to smother the world economy.
Their growth in recent years is directly tied to western consumption without that there is nothing to outsource and no one to sell trinkets to, the promises and riches of gobalization will become a bitter trap.
