I saw this graphing tool in a documentary on the TED conference. Pretty neat stuff. Good way to visualize change over time by country and by region. Africa has clearly been going backwards compared to the rest of the world by most indicators.

I watched this TED lecture way back when and was pleased to see the link takes you to 2012 now instead of the earlier statistics from the old lecture. Very handy tool for sizing up the current global situation.
