RV Living

"Let me prove to you right off the bat that you can live the free life. Here is a budget to live and travel full time. One column is for a $500 a month and the other is for a $1,000 a month for one person."

As long as the gas holds out! ;)

I owned a VW camper for four years in college. I lived in it for about 15 months total, I think. Sometimes I lived in it while I was in school in Austin. During the summers I'd drive to Colorado and live in the mountains up there for about 3 months.

Some of my fondest childhood memories were camping with my grandparents in an early 70s VW camper. We used to fight over who would get to sleep in the pop-top!

The problem with a VW camper is it has no bathroom or shower. You have to use a porta-potty and find a camping location with a shower facility. So it's hard to stay clean for an extended period. Other than that it's got to be the most cost effective RV you'll ever find, and amazingly comfortable for how tiny they are. Just a really well-engineered interior.

A Rv is maybe the best thing to have if SHTF and you live in the city, I have one and so should you if you don't have land paid for, its not only cheap to live but you can have a mini home just about anywhere you want.

However don't get one without a full bath, it sucks looking for a clean bathroom, it's my get away mini condo if this economy keeps going downward, it carry's water, propane, generator, a/c, heat, frigd, water heater, beds, shower, toilet, food storage, and tv.. [30 gal propane, 50gal gas + 20gal extra gas cans and 40gal water]

A spong bath in a sink will work in place of a shower.

Junk Living would be nice too ! Out on a big lake or the sounds with access to the ocean. Safe from the zombie hoards. You can catch your dinner and raid the mainland like a pirate!
