$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Withnail', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('C8', 'I') think the hunter should apologize- donate money to a habitat reserve- and then go on a ONE WEEK meat fast- AND CHALLENGE THE REST OF THE COUNTRY TO DO THE SAME!

should send a message

He needs to be extradited and stand trial. Intentionally luring the lion out of the protected area so it can be killed must surely be a crime.

It's no better than poaching.

Americans need to understand the law applies to them as well as locals in the countries they exploit.

Normally I might agree with you here but were talking Zimbabwe fergodsakes and that word doesn't belong in the same sentence with "justice". Mugabe is the one who should be extradited as he has ordered the mass hunting of humans.

I cannot get worked up about a predator lion being killed when people are engaging in the mass slaughter of cows, pigs, fowl, etc. just for burgers when they could easily survive and thrive on other things. I am not bowing to hypocrisy on this one. The "Lion killer" is all of us- and we don't want to admit the similarity- which is why so much anger is being directed at him.

It's not up to Yanqui porcas to decide which foreign laws to obey.

They need to be taught a lesson everywhere they break the law abroad.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('ritter', '[')Directed at me? If so, not sure why you think I'm mobbin, bro. :-D

My point was, he's suspect having already been prosecuted for taking one animal trophy illegally (and allegedly a woman as well). From the few meglomaniac thrill seekers I've know, I doubt he's entirely innocent in this event.

Well yeah sorta, no offense intended :)

My point, lonely tho it is, is rippin this guy up is seen as totally justified, no matter how he is affected personally or professionally, even though no one has any idea what the truth is — tho they are convinced they do.

but then I guess that is kinda the underlying meme of the entire internet, isn't it? "I know the truth and you all are fools so listen up!"
The legitimate object of government, is to do for a community of people, whatever they need to have done, but can not do, at all, or can not, so well do, for themselves -- in their separate, and individual capacities.
-- Abraham Lincoln, Fragment on Government (July 1, 1854)
