Can you survive on .68 a day?

What's on your mind?
General interest discussions, not necessarily related to depletion.

Whats the point of needlessly making yourself suffer?

One person boasts he can live on 68 cents a day.

The next will boast he can live on 48 cents a day with clothespins attached to his nipples.

Then someone will claim they sleep in a hair shirt and wear their underwear three sizes too small.

Big deal.

You say that as if you will have a choice in the future.

It isn't the future yet. It is now.

What is the point in boasting about how much suffering you can endure now?

It all seems to point to a post by roccman about his GF and her *other* BF guying new tits and a truck etc etc wasting money right and left, and Rocc'o saying $250 is a year's food. It probably is, legumes, oats, etc., add some foraging and yeah, it can be done. The main point of roccman's post was that most people, all but maybe 100k of us worldwide, are utterly ignorant of PO and powerdown and all that, and will die absolutely puzzled over how it could have possibly happened.

Personally, I prefer that to 6 billion people all knowing exactly what's going on, and fighting everyone else for their "right" to have 6 kids and a hydrogen-powered SUV.

Actually - it has ZERO to do with boasting or relationships...it is a question.

You will find no where in this thread or other threads where I said I eat .68 of food a day.

What you will find is a post from Lighthouse mocking those who are less fortunate.

Rocco's GF and her *other* BF got new tits?

It sounds like if Rocco wants to stay in the triangle then maybe he should get new tits too, or he'll be totally out-titted by the *other* BF.

No, no, rocc's GF got new tits and her *other* BF got a new truck ...

I'd say to stay even Rocco needs to get new tits (men get chest implants you know too) and a new truck lol.

This is what you get in a society where everything's a commodity.....

Actually I have purchased food (at .68 a day) for both my children's mom and her husband as they have made it quite clear they have no intention of getting prepared in any capacity for what lies ahead. I would be naive to think the children would find it ok to allow their mom to starve to death.

Women with fake tits on the Road to Olduvai will be the scorn of the horde...a true scarlett A on their chests and a statement of their mindset before the dieoff. Sex toys over food.

Sorry, Plants. I thought you said they all got new tits.

If a girl has nice new tits, and one guy she likes has a brand new big truck, and the other guy has buckets and crateloads of legumes, the girl will have to make a difficult decision.

She can either go with the guy in his big new truck and drive around having fun and eating hamburgers and having wonderful sex outdoors after long, fast drives in the truck using lots of gas, or she can give it all up and join the other guy in eating freeze-dried legumes every meal for the rest of her life to subsist on a budget of 68 cents a day.

A very difficult decision. 8)

Or the girl with the big tits can come to me, the middle of the road guy. Fairly nice car and decent food. Nothing great, but nothing to bad. Please oh please big titted girl, make the right choice.

There really is no decision for big titted girl to make except to eat or starve.

The F150 will become a food dehydrator.

The big titted girl will have no problem. She can either work as a hooker in exchange for food or else she can become part of the harem of some regional warlord.

I once lived on $1 a day for 5 months. However, it was in Eritrea. I would find it difficult to live on less than $60 a day in Ireland.

Well LH - it was in the OP, but seeing as how you missed that...here it is:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Lighthouse', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('roccman', 'E')mbarassing myself?

I could give a rats ass what you or anyone here thinks about me.

The question is why are you embarrasing yourself? Obviously you give a fuck what others think about you.

Still live on $250 food supply a year I see and using the free internet in the heated library ...

Tell me how do you manage to live on $ 0.68 a day in the United States? You must be a master dumpster diver to survive on that sort of money?

Click here if you want to see what I refer to ...

There is no way you would know what I ate today and how much what I ate cost, but like your posts with Overshoot and like your posts with 911 it is all rubbish.

You are a spinster...you believe you are morally superior than those who have less money than you.

What you are is a useless eater.

So you think you are less fortunate than I? Interesting. I do not think I am superior because I have more money than you. But you show a certain character and level of intellectual ability in all your posts.

Btw. the only one who was "mocked" was you. And all of that because your tendency to provide selective evidence to make your point, your inability to do proper research, your lack of manners, your rude tone, your callow attacks of everyone who thinks different than you, your disregard for even the most basic rules of social behavior among civilized people.

Your answers are very predictable. But no-one expects anything else from you. Try again. This time you better come up with something better. But that might be to much to ask from you, I guess.

LH - Roccman never said he was living on that, he was saying, that $250 would be better spent on rolled oats or something than on photos of oneself lying on the hood of a car.

$250 would, or should, easily buy a year's worth of basic calories in rolled oats, bought at the feed store. From the amount of straw I'm finding in my Quaker's Old Fashioned lately, I don't think you'd find any difference between "feed" oats and "breakfast" oats lol. And you'd have your basic calories assured. then you'd add to them by gardening, foraging, etc.

But Rocc never said a damn thing about being a financial failure, I am but he's not.

So LH you either need to taper way back on the drinking or start drinking a lot MORE so you can't type!
